Welcome. I'm glad you're here. For over twenty years I’ve specialized in providing men and women with psychotherapy for issues related to trauma, cross addiction, out-of-control behaviors, sexual inhibition, intimacy anxiety, attachment disorders and issues related to gender and sexual orientation. I'm also the founder and director of The Sexuality, Attachment, and Trauma Project.
When clients come to me they are often wrestling with an inability to access or express emotions. It's confusing and frustrating not to have an emotional vocabulary. This sometimes leads to physical ways of acting out such as sex addiction, overeating, or substance abuse.
Through our work together, you'll develop the ability to locate and express your needs. You'll also learn to identify when past experiences negatively impact the way you relate to yourself and others in the present. Treatment improves the way you connect and experience intimacy. You'll leave empowered to live a fuller more satisfying life.
I provide consultation, education, and supervision to other clinicians in the field. This teaching includes graduate level training for clinical social workers.
I'm also a frequent lecturer on the topic of Out-of-Control Sexual Behavior (OCSB) at psychotherapy institutes and conventions across the country.
Consults are 60 minutes. This time gives me the chance to get to know a bit about you and the issues you find challenging. We'll determine if our therapeutic relationship is a good fit as well as discuss your needs and my approach to treatment. I look forward to hearing from you.
